How To Calculate The Work?

Identify the force applied

Identify the displacement

Use the formula: Work = Force × Displacement × cos(θ)

Measure force in newtons

Measure displacement in meters

Measure angle θ between force and displacement

Multiply force by displacement

Multiply by the cosine of the angle

Express work in joules

If force and displacement are in the same direction, use Work = Force × Displacement

If force is perpendicular to displacement, work = 0

If multiple forces act, calculate the work done by each force separately and add them if needed
