Open the folder containing the file
Click the file once to select it
Rename the file
Change the file extension after the dot
Press Enter
Confirm the change if prompted
Open the file to check if it works
Enable file extensions in your system settings if the extension is hidden
Use a file converter if changing the extension alone does not work
