Turn off the HVAC system
Locate the air filter slot
Remove the filter cover or access panel
Slide out the old filter
Check the filter size and airflow direction arrow
Insert the new filter in the correct direction
Reattach the cover or access panel
Turn the HVAC system back on
Dispose of the old filter
