Open the Google Meet app on your phone
Join or start a meeting
Tap the screen to show meeting controls
Tap the More options icon
Tap Background effects or Effects
Choose a background, blur, or upload a custom image if available
Tap Apply or Done
If prompted, allow camera access and enable background effects
If you do not see the option, update the Google Meet app
If the feature is unavailable on your phone, it may not be supported on your device
