Click the Apple menu
Select System Settings
Click Users & Groups
Select your user account
Click Change Password
Enter your current password
Enter your new password
Re-enter the new password
Add a password hint if prompted
Click Change Password
If you forgot your password, restart your Mac and use the password reset options
