Open Steam
Go to Steam > Settings (Windows) or Steam > Preferences (macOS)
Select the Account tab
Click Manage Steam Account Security or Account Details (wording may vary)
Click Edit next to Profile Name
Enter the new name
Save/Confirm the changes
If prompted, complete any required verification steps
