You cannot charge an AirTag
AirTags use a replaceable CR2032 coin-cell battery
To replace the battery, press and twist the metal back cover counterclockwise
Remove the old battery
Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive side facing up
Reattach the cover and twist clockwise until it locks
Check the battery status in the Find My app after replacement
