Connect the Joy-Con controllers to the Nintendo Switch console while it is docked or charging
Slide each Joy-Con onto the sides of the console until they click into place
Leave the console connected to power to charge the controllers
Use a Joy-Con charging grip with a USB charging cable
Connect the charging grip to a USB power source
Use a Joy-Con charging dock or charging station if available
Place the controllers on the dock according to the device instructions
Use a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller charging cable
Connect the Pro Controller to the Nintendo Switch dock or a USB power adapter
Check the controller battery icon in the Switch system settings to confirm charging
Wait until the controller battery is full before disconnecting
