Open Task Manager
Go to the Performance tab
Click Memory
Check the RAM speed and type shown there
Open Command Prompt
Run `wmic memorychip get devicelocator, speed, memorytype, smbiosmemorytype`
Check the `SMBIOSMemoryType` value
Use CPU-Z
Open the Memory tab
Check the `DRAM Frequency`
Multiply the DRAM Frequency by 2 for DDR rating
Check the RAM label on the stick
Look for DDR3, DDR4, or DDR5 printed on it
Check the system BIOS or UEFI
Find the memory information section
Check the motherboard or laptop specifications
Look up the exact RAM model number online
