How to Cite APA with Two Authors?

In-text citation: use both authors’ last names every time

Parenthetical citation: (Smith & Jones, 2020)

Narrative citation: Smith and Jones (2020)

Use an ampersand (&) in parenthetical citations

Use the word “and” in narrative citations

Reference list format: Last name, Initials., & Last name, Initials. (Year). Title of work. Source

Example reference: Smith, J. A., & Jones, M. L. (2020). Title of book. Publisher

If citing a direct quote, include the page number: (Smith & Jones, 2020, p. 15)

For multiple citations in one parenthesis, separate sources with semicolons
