Let the grill grate cool slightly
Remove the grate from the grill
Scrape off loose debris with a grill brush
Soak the grate in warm, soapy water
Scrub with a non-abrasive sponge or brush
Rinse thoroughly with clean water
Dry completely with a towel
Wipe with a light coat of cooking oil
Reinstall the grate
Clean after each use to prevent buildup
