How To Clean A Keyboard?

Unplug the keyboard (or turn off Bluetooth) and remove any connected cables.

Turn the keyboard upside down over a trash bin and gently shake to dislodge debris.

Use compressed air in short bursts to blow out dust from between keys.

Wipe the key surfaces with a slightly damp, lint-free microfiber cloth.

For sticky keys, dampen the cloth with isopropyl alcohol (70% or higher) and wipe gently.

Remove keycaps if your keyboard supports it and if you can do so safely.

Take keycaps off carefully and place them in a bowl or bag.

Rinse keycaps with warm water if manufacturer instructions allow, then dry completely.

Clean the exposed keyboard base with compressed air and a lightly damp cloth.

For crumbs in tight areas, use a soft brush (clean, dry) and compressed air.

Clean between keys with alcohol-dampened cotton swabs (use sparingly).

Do not let liquids pool around switches or edges.

Allow the keyboard to dry fully before reconnecting (at least 15–30 minutes, longer if needed).

Reassemble keycaps (if removed) and press them firmly into place.

Plug it back in and test all keys.
