Shut down the laptop and unplug it
Remove the battery if possible
Turn the laptop upside down and gently shake out loose debris
Use compressed air to blow between the keys
Hold the can upright and use short bursts
Use a soft brush to loosen dust and crumbs
Wipe the keys with a microfiber cloth
Lightly dampen the cloth with 70% isopropyl alcohol if needed
Do not spray liquid directly onto the keyboard
Use cotton swabs for tight spaces around the keys
Clean sticky spots gently without pressing hard
Let the keyboard dry completely before turning the laptop on
Repeat regularly to prevent buildup
