Test any cleaner in a hidden spot (back or underside) and wait for it to dry

Remove surface grime with a dry, clean microfiber cloth

Lightly wipe with a damp microfiber cloth using distilled or clean water

For mild stains, apply a small amount of mild soap or leather cleaner to a damp cloth, then wipe gently in small sections

Wipe off soap residue with a clean damp cloth

For oil/grease stains, blot immediately with a clean cloth; use a leather-safe degreaser sparingly only after spot testing

For ink or stubborn stains, use a leather-specific stain remover after spot testing

Dry the leather naturally at room temperature; avoid heat, direct sunlight, and hair dryers

Condition the leather after cleaning (especially if it feels dry) using a leather conditioner; apply thinly with a soft cloth

Buff with a dry microfiber cloth to restore a smooth finish

Avoid soaking the leather, using harsh detergents, bleach, ammonia, alcohol, or abrasive cleaners

Keep the settee away from radiators/vents and use protective measures to prevent future spills
