Unplug the waffle maker
Let it cool completely
Remove loose crumbs with a soft brush or dry cloth
Wipe the plates with a damp cloth or sponge
Use a soft toothbrush for grooves and stuck-on bits
Apply a little warm, soapy water to stubborn residue
Wipe away soap with a clean damp cloth
Dry the plates with a clean towel
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth
Clean removable plates in warm, soapy water if dishwasher use is not recommended
Let all parts dry completely before reassembling
Avoid soaking the waffle maker
Avoid abrasive pads or metal utensils
Avoid spraying water directly onto the appliance
