Let the pan cool completely

Wipe out excess food and grease with a paper towel

Rinse with hot water

Use a non-abrasive brush or sponge to scrub off residue

Add coarse salt and a little water for stubborn stuck-on bits

Scrub again with the salt paste

Rinse thoroughly

Dry immediately with a clean towel

Heat the pan briefly on low heat to remove remaining moisture

Apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the inside surface

Wipe off any excess oil

Store in a dry place

Avoid soaking the pan in water

Avoid using soap unless needed for heavy buildup

Avoid steel wool or harsh abrasives

Re-season the pan if the surface looks dull or rusty
