Empty the coffee maker
Remove the filter and any used grounds
Fill the water reservoir with equal parts white vinegar and water
Place a clean filter in the basket if needed
Start a brew cycle and let it run halfway
Turn off the coffee maker and let it sit for 30 minutes
Turn it back on and finish the brew cycle
Discard the vinegar solution
Rinse the carafe thoroughly
Fill the reservoir with clean water
Run two to three full brew cycles with plain water
Discard the rinse water after each cycle
Wash removable parts with warm soapy water
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth
Dry all parts before using again
