Put on disposable gloves

Blot again to remove excess moisture
Sprinkle baking soda over the area to help absorb odor
Let the baking soda sit for several hours
Vacuum up the baking soda
Use an enzyme cleaner if odor or stain remains
Test any cleaner on a hidden spot first
Allow the carpet to air-dry completely
Disinfect any tools and wash your hands afterward
