Gather supplies: mild shampoo or brush cleanser, lukewarm water, towel, and a clean bowl or sink
Remove excess product by gently blotting brushes on a dry towel
Wet only the bristles (keep water from soaking the ferrule/base)
Add a small amount of cleanser to the bristles and work it in with gentle circular motions
Rinse under lukewarm water until the water runs clear
Gently reshape bristles with your fingers
Blot on a clean towel to remove excess water
Lay brushes flat or hang them with bristles down to dry completely
Clean frequency: face brushes weekly, eye brushes every 1–2 weeks, spot-clean as needed
For quick spot cleaning: mist or spray cleanser on a towel and gently rub bristles until clean, then let dry
For stubborn buildup: soak bristles (not the base) in lukewarm water with a small amount of cleanser for 5–10 minutes, then rinse and repeat gentle cleaning
For drying: ensure brushes are fully dry before storing or using
Avoid: hot water, soaking the brush base, twisting or pulling bristles, and using harsh detergents or alcohol directly on natural hair (unless product instructions allow)
