Turn off the ice maker and unplug the appliance
Remove all ice from the bin
Take out any removable parts
Wash removable parts with warm water and mild dish soap
Rinse and dry all removable parts completely
Mix a cleaning solution recommended by the manufacturer or use equal parts water and white vinegar if allowed
Wipe the interior surfaces with the cleaning solution
Clean the ice bin, water reservoir, and any accessible parts
Use a soft brush or cloth to clean corners and crevices
Run a cleaning cycle if your ice maker has one
Rinse the system with clean water as instructed by the manufacturer
Replace all removable parts
Plug the ice maker back in and turn it on
Discard the first batch of ice after cleaning
Clean the ice maker regularly to prevent buildup
