Rinse the brush in the appropriate solvent or water based on the paint type
Work the bristles gently with your fingers to release paint
Repeat rinsing until the water or solvent runs clear
Wash the brush with mild soap and warm water
Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap
Reshape the bristles with your fingers
Shake out excess water
Let the brush dry flat or hanging with bristles down
Store the brush once fully dry
