Unplug the dispenser
Remove the water bottle
Drain all water from the hot and cold spouts
Remove the drip tray and wash it with warm, soapy water
Mix a cleaning solution of 1 tablespoon unscented bleach per 1 gallon of water, or use vinegar if preferred
Fill the reservoir with the cleaning solution
Let the solution sit for 5 to 10 minutes
Drain the solution through the spouts into a bucket
Rinse the reservoir with clean water several times
Flush the spouts with clean water until no cleaning solution remains
Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth and mild soap
Clean the nozzle area and surrounding surfaces
Reinstall the drip tray
Insert a new water bottle
Plug the dispenser back in
Run a small amount of water from each spout before use
