Create a Discord account
Download the Discord app or use the Discord web version
Sign in with your account credentials
Set up your profile (username, profile picture, status)
Create a server or join an existing server
To join a server, use an invite link or code
To create a server, click “Add a Server” and follow the prompts
Add members to your server using an invite link
Use the left sidebar to select servers and channels
Choose a channel to view messages and participate in chats
Send a message in a text channel
Upload files or images in a supported channel
Use @mentions to notify specific users (e.g., @username)
React to messages with emojis
Start a voice or video call in a voice channel
Join a voice channel by clicking it
Use voice settings to choose microphone and speaker devices
Adjust input/output volume and enable/disable microphone
Use screen sharing during calls if available
Create roles and permissions (server settings) if you manage the server
Manage channels (create, rename, delete) in server settings
Customize server notifications and channel notification settings
Search for messages using the search bar
Pin important messages if allowed
Use direct messages to contact users privately
Block or report users from their profile or message context menu
Set privacy and safety settings in User Settings
Enable two-factor authentication in Security settings
