Put on gloves and open the car doors for ventilation
Remove any solid material with paper towels or disposable cloths
Blot up excess liquid without rubbing
Sprinkle baking soda or cat litter over the affected area to absorb moisture and odor
Let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes
Vacuum up the dried material thoroughly
Mix warm water with a small amount of dish soap or upholstery cleaner
Dampen a clean cloth with the solution and blot the stain
Repeat blotting with a fresh cloth until the stain lifts
Use a separate cloth with clean water to blot away soap residue
Apply an enzyme cleaner to the area if odor remains
Blot again after the cleaner has time to sit
Dry the area with towels
Leave windows open or use fans to fully dry the interior
Sprinkle baking soda again if any smell remains
Vacuum after the area is completely dry
Clean and disinfect any tools or reusable items used during cleanup
Wash hands thoroughly after finishing
