Remove floor mats and loose items
Vacuum the carpet thoroughly
Shake out and clean the floor mats
Pre-treat stains with a carpet cleaner
Scrub stained areas with a soft brush
Apply carpet cleaner evenly to the carpet
Work the cleaner into the fibers with a brush
Wipe away excess moisture with a microfiber cloth
Use a wet-dry vacuum if available
Rinse lightly with clean water if needed
Blot up remaining moisture
Let the carpet air dry completely
Open doors or windows to speed drying
Use a fan or dehumidifier if needed
Repeat on stubborn stains if necessary
