Remove floor mats and loose items
Vacuum the carpet thoroughly
Pre-treat stains with carpet cleaner
Scrub stains with a soft brush
Apply carpet shampoo or upholstery cleaner
Work the cleaner into the carpet with a brush
Wipe or extract excess moisture with a microfiber towel or wet/dry vacuum
Repeat on stubborn stains if needed
Rinse lightly with clean water if required by the cleaner
Dry the carpet completely with open doors, fans, or sunlight
Reinstall floor mats after they are clean and dry
