Remove the drain cover
Put on gloves
Pull out visible hair and debris by hand or with a drain tool
Use a drain snake or zip tool to clear deeper clogs
Pour boiling water down the drain if the pipe material allows it
Add baking soda to the drain
Pour vinegar down the drain
Let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes
Flush with hot water
Clean the drain cover with soap and water
Reinstall the drain cover
Repeat regularly to prevent buildup
