Remove the insoles and laces
Air out the shoes in a dry, well-ventilated place
Brush off dirt and debris
Sprinkle baking soda inside the shoes
Let the baking soda sit overnight
Shake out the baking soda the next day
Wash the insoles separately with soap and water if washable
Clean the inside of the shoes with a cloth dampened with mild soap and water
Wipe the outside of the shoes with a suitable cleaner for the material
Let the shoes dry completely before wearing
Put dryer sheets or odor-absorbing inserts inside after drying
Wear clean socks and rotate shoes to prevent odor buildup
