Rinse the sponge under lukewarm water until fully saturated
Apply a gentle soap, liquid cleanser, or sponge cleaner
Massage and squeeze the sponge repeatedly to release makeup
Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear
Repeat washing if stains or residue remain
For deep cleaning, soak the sponge in warm soapy water for a few minutes
Wash again by squeezing and rubbing the sponge gently
Rinse well to remove all cleanser
Press out excess water with a clean towel
Let the sponge air-dry completely in a clean, ventilated area
Replace the sponge if it stays torn, stained, or develops an odor
