Unplug the washer
Remove all laundry from the drum
Clean the detergent drawer
Wipe the door, gasket, and rim with a damp cloth
Remove lint, hair, and debris from the gasket
Clean the filter or drain pump trap
Run a hot empty cycle with washer cleaner or white vinegar
Run a second rinse cycle with plain water
Scrub any remaining residue inside the drum
Clean the exterior with a mild soap solution
Leave the door or lid open to dry
Repeat monthly or as needed
