Empty the washing machine
Remove lint, hair, and debris from the drum
Clean the detergent dispenser
Wipe the door seal or lid edges
Add washing machine cleaner or 2 cups of white vinegar
Run the hottest wash cycle
Add 1/2 cup of baking soda
Run another hot wash cycle
Wipe the drum with a clean cloth
Clean the filter
Wipe the exterior
Leave the door or lid open to air-dry
Repeat monthly
