Sort white socks separately from colored laundry
Shake off loose dirt before washing
Pre-soak in warm water with detergent or oxygen bleach
Rub stained areas gently with laundry soap or stain remover
Wash in the warmest water safe for the fabric
Use a detergent made for whites if available
Add oxygen bleach for extra whitening if the care label allows
Avoid chlorine bleach unless the label says it is safe
Do not overload the washing machine
Dry in sunlight if possible
Air-dry or tumble dry on low heat
Repeat the soak and wash for stubborn stains
