Unplug the dryer or turn off the power
Remove the lint screen
Clean lint from the lint screen
Wash the lint screen with warm water and mild soap if needed
Dry the lint screen completely
Vacuum the lint trap opening
Remove lint from around the drum opening and door seal
Wipe the drum interior with a damp cloth
Clean the dryer exterior with a damp cloth
Clean the dryer vent hose
Disconnect and vacuum the vent hose
Clean the vent duct and exterior vent opening
Reattach the vent hose securely
Check that the vent flap opens freely
Run the dryer on air fluff for a few minutes
Clean the dryer regularly
