Test the water for pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and stabilizer
Adjust pH to 7.2–7.6
Shock the pool with chlorine
Run the pump and filter continuously
Clean or backwash the filter
Brush the pool walls, floor, and steps
Vacuum debris from the pool
Remove leaves and other organic matter
Check and clean skimmer and pump baskets
Use a clarifier if the cloudiness is mild
Use a flocculant if the cloudiness is severe
Retest the water after treatment
Maintain proper sanitizer levels
Keep the filter and circulation system clean
Prevent future cloudiness with regular testing and cleaning
