Pour boiling water down the drain
Flush with baking soda and vinegar
Let the mixture sit, then rinse with hot water
Use a plunger to dislodge the clog
Repeat the snake or plunger if needed
Clean the drain cover and replace it
Use a drain strainer to prevent future clogs
