Find a safe route to the wreckage
Check for unstable metal, sharp edges, and loose debris
Wear gloves, sturdy boots, and protective clothing
Use a stable ladder, rope, or climbing aid if available
Test each handhold and foothold before putting full weight on it
Keep three points of contact at all times
Move slowly and avoid sudden shifts in balance
Do not climb on rusted, wet, or crumbling surfaces
Have someone nearby to spot you if possible
Stop immediately if the structure starts to move or collapse
Descend the same way you climbed up
Seek professional help if the wreckage is too unstable to climb safely
