Open the app or website where you want to clip content
Start playing the video or open the content you want to capture
Press Windows + G to open the Game Bar (for games and many apps)
Click the Capture button (camera icon) or press Windows + Alt + PrtScn to take a screenshot
Press Windows + Alt + R to start/stop recording a clip (if available)
For audio/video clips, open the Game Bar and use the Record option if shown
To clip using Xbox Game Bar settings, open Settings > Gaming > Captures
Set clip length and capture options in the Captures settings
To clip with OBS Studio:
Install and open OBS Studio
Add a source (Display Capture or Window Capture)
Click Start Recording or Start Streaming
To save a short clip, use the Replay Buffer feature or manually stop recording and trim later
To clip with Clipchamp:
Open Clipchamp and create a new project
Import the video or screen recording
Use the timeline to select the segment you want
Click Export to save the clipped portion
To clip with ShareX:
Install and open ShareX
Choose the capture type (Screen Recording, Region, or Window)
Select the area or start recording
Save the clip from the capture menu or destination settings
To clip with Windows Snipping Tool:
Open Snipping Tool
Choose New and select the region
Save the screenshot
For video clips, use screen recording tools (Game Bar, OBS, ShareX, or Clipchamp) instead
