Open Facebook and log in
Tap or click the menu icon
Go to Settings and privacy
Select Settings
Open Accounts Center
Tap or click Personal details
Select Account ownership and control
Choose Deactivation or deletion
Select the Facebook account you want to close
Choose Delete account
Follow the prompts
Enter your password if asked
Confirm the deletion request
Save any data you want before deleting
Wait for the deletion period to finish
