Check that your car supports Android Auto
Check that your phone runs Android 8.0 or higher
Install or update the Android Auto app if needed
Use a compatible USB cable for wired connection
Start the car and turn on the infotainment system
Unlock your Android phone
Connect the phone to the car with the USB cable
Tap Allow on any permission prompts on the phone
Follow the on-screen setup on the car display
Open Android Auto on the car screen if it does not launch automatically
Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi if your car supports wireless Android Auto
Pair your phone with the car through Bluetooth
Accept the wireless Android Auto prompts on both devices
Select Android Auto from the car’s menu if required
Keep the phone connected and unlocked during first setup
Update your phone, car software, and Android Auto app if connection fails
