Turn on your Apple TV and your TV
Make sure the Apple TV is connected to the TV with an HDMI cable
Insert batteries into the Apple TV remote or charge it if it is a Siri Remote
Bring the remote close to the Apple TV
Press any button on the remote
Wait for the on-screen prompt that says the remote is connected
If the remote does not connect automatically, press and hold Back and Volume Up for about 5 seconds
If needed, restart Apple TV and try again
If the remote is still not working, connect Apple TV using the Apple TV Remote app on iPhone or use another compatible remote
