Use a USB cable (USB-A to Micro-USB or USB-C, depending on your controller) to connect the PS4 controller to your PC
If using Windows, wait for the controller driver to install automatically
Open a game that supports controllers and confirm the controller is detected in its input settings
If the controller is not detected, install and use DS4Windows
Launch DS4Windows after installation
Connect the controller via USB
In DS4Windows, select the correct controller profile/options if prompted
Start the DS4Windows “Start”/“Run” service or driver when prompted
For wireless use, pair via Bluetooth
Turn on the controller and put it into pairing mode (hold the Share button and the PS button until the light bar starts flashing)
On the PC, open Bluetooth settings and add the device
Select “Wireless Controller” to pair
If wireless doesn’t work, use DS4Windows with the controller connected via USB once, then try wireless again
If the controller disconnects, reconnect and re-pair in Bluetooth settings if needed
To verify input, use Windows Game Controller settings or the DS4Windows test/input screen
