Measure the drawer opening and determine the drawer dimensions
Cut the drawer front, back, sides, and bottom to size
Cut grooves or rabbets for the bottom panel if needed
Dry-fit all parts to confirm alignment and fit
Apply glue to the joints
Assemble the drawer frame with clamps
Secure the joints with screws, nails, or joinery as appropriate
Insert and secure the bottom panel
Attach the drawer front if it is a separate piece
Sand all surfaces and edges
Install the drawer slides or runners
Test the drawer for smooth movement
Make any final adjustments for fit and alignment
