Choose a fully cooked ham that fits in your crock pot
Trim if needed so the lid closes properly
Place the ham in the crock pot cut side down
Add 1/2 to 1 cup of liquid such as water, broth, apple juice, or pineapple juice
Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours
Baste occasionally with the juices if desired
Check that the internal temperature reaches 140°F for a fully cooked ham
If using a raw ham, cook until it reaches 145°F and is tender
Optional: add glaze during the last 30 to 45 minutes of cooking
Remove the ham and let it rest before slicing
