Pat the steak dry
Season both sides with salt and pepper
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F
Lightly oil the steak or air fryer basket
Place the steak in the basket in a single layer
Cook for 8 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through
Check for desired doneness with a meat thermometer
Remove the steak from the air fryer
Let the steak rest for 5 to 10 minutes
Slice and serve
