How to Cook Baked Salmon?

Preheat oven to 400°F

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil

Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels

Place salmon skin-side down on the baking sheet

Brush or drizzle salmon with olive oil or melted butter

Season with salt and black pepper

Add optional seasonings such as garlic, lemon juice, dill, paprika, or herbs

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on thickness

Check that the salmon flakes easily with a fork

Remove from oven

Let rest for 2 to 3 minutes

Serve immediately with lemon wedges if desired
