Rinse the brown rice under cold water until the water runs mostly clear
Add the rinsed rice to the rice cooker
Add water using the rice cooker’s brown rice ratio, usually 1 cup brown rice to 2 to 2.5 cups water
Close the lid securely
Select the brown rice setting if your cooker has one
Press start or cook
Let the rice cooker finish the cycle
Keep the lid closed during cooking
Let the rice sit on warm for 10 to 15 minutes after cooking
Fluff the rice with a fork or rice paddle before serving
