How to Cook Chow Mein?

Boil chow mein noodles until just tender

Drain and rinse with cold water

Toss noodles with a little oil to prevent sticking

Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat

Add garlic and ginger, then stir briefly

Add sliced onions, cabbage, carrots, and other vegetables

Stir-fry vegetables until crisp-tender

Add cooked chicken, beef, shrimp, tofu, or leave plain

Add the noodles to the wok

Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and a little sesame oil

Toss everything together until evenly coated and heated through

Add bean sprouts or scallions if desired

Serve immediately
