How To Cook Fresh Salmon?

Pat the salmon dry

Season with salt and pepper

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat

Add oil or butter to the skillet

Place salmon skin-side down if it has skin

Cook without moving for 4 to 6 minutes

Flip the salmon carefully

Cook the other side for 2 to 4 minutes

Cook until the salmon flakes easily with a fork

Remove from heat

Let rest for 2 minutes

Serve immediately
