How To Cook Millet?

Rinse 1 cup millet under cold water

Optional: toast millet in a dry pan over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes

Add millet and 2 cups water or broth to a pot

Add a pinch of salt if desired

Bring to a boil

Reduce heat to low

Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes

Remove from heat

Let stand covered for 5 minutes

Fluff with a fork

Serve warm
