Add pasta to the Instant Pot
Add enough water or broth to just cover the pasta
Add salt if desired
Add oil or sauce if using
Close the lid and set the valve to sealing
Cook on high pressure for half the package time, minus 1 minute
Use quick release when the cooking time ends
Open the lid carefully
Stir the pasta
Drain any excess liquid if needed
Add sauce, cheese, or other toppings if desired
